Inspired by How to be a Moonflower by Kate Daisy, children will discover the world of lunar gardening, nocturnal, crepuscular and diurnal animals, full moon blooming flowers, the moon and sun cycle and how we can feel this in our bodies with yoga poses. Digging into soil with hand magnifyers will help them see who lives below the surface.
Each color of the rainbow has it’s own unique story to share. Energy centers in our bodies, chakras, each have their own stories as well. Children will be guided through the connection of feelings, foods, asana (yoga poses) and thoughts that can help ignite their rainbow power.
When we’re connected to our hearts, we can connect with all hearts. Children will practice heart centered yoga poses(asanas), share stories, songs, dance or tell jokes, in turn discover their own unique ways of radiating. All while identifying what’s shining bright in the p-patch.
Nature is full of musical sounds like beats, drums, claps, rhythms, skips and snaps. Sometimes we hear whispers on the wind and other times we hear crescendoing caws from tree tops. Children will connect with our environment’s musical magic and find their own too!
