Our After School Enrichment Flow
September 17 - October 29
1:45 - 3:45 p.m.
Early Release Wednesdays
Kids gather at Little Howe Park (Southeast corner of the lower playfield) in Queen Anne to meet on our mats, check in about the school day and practice a short yoga sequence with ease and fun! One that matches the energy of the group.
Then we’ll nature walk over to the lovely Queen Anne P-Patch where we’ll garden! This time will include nature themed crafts, harvesting, weeding, planting, watering, snacking, writing and drawing in nature journals, playing games, sharing and creating stories, enjoying free choice and more!
To end our time, we’ll nature walk back to Little Howe Park, where we started, for our closing yoga circle where parents and caregivers will greet their children and sign out.
For 7 weeks after school on Wednesdays your kids are immersed in nature, where they’ll connect with the earth through yoga, mindfulness, science and creativity. Each afternoon features nature-inspired yoga, fun crafts, and activities like nature walks, scavenger hunts, basic gardening concepts, urban wildlife viewings and celebrating the season of FALL.
In Bloom KYG offers unique enriching experiences for kids in grades K-5th that hold space for emotional and social navigation. This includes managing social pressures, teaching empathy, positive self-esteem & mindfulness.
Every day fosters a deep sense of gratitude, responsibility, and connection to the planet, all while introducing kids to yoga, meditation and outdoor stewardship. They’ll leave with new skills, full hearts and a greater understanding of how they can make a positive impact on the world around them.
For an afternoon of fun, growth, connection and empowerment register today!

Fall Q & As
Do I need to provide a yoga mat for my child?
Yes. It’s our goal to provide yoga mats for each kiddo in the future but until then we appreciate you providing one for your child. We can help find or borrow a gently used mat for your kiddo if needed. Just let us know. We’re happy to work with you.
Does my child have to know how to do yoga?
Not at all. Yoga is practice. We offer easeful, age appropriate sequences. We meet children where they’re at and always encourage students to listen and tune in to what feels good in their bodies. Yoga teachers are guides who make suggestions and offer safe options.
Is transportation provided?
No. It’s up to the parents or caregivers to organize transportation to Little Howe Park - Lower Playfield. We can suggest carpooling and walking groups once we receive all registrations.
What if it’s raining? Does the class get canceled?
Our classes take place rain or shine. We ask that parents and caregivers keep an eye on weather and plan accordingly. Be on the look out for communication from your educator. Emails will be sent with reminders about clothing and how to be prepared for being outside comfortably in rainy weather. If there are any questions, please send an email. Class is likely to be cancelled if there is a combination of wind & rain, which typically results in sideways rain. This rarely happens. Again, look out for communication the day before, evening before and morning of weather inclement days.
How does the class change when it’s raining?
We’re prepared to continue having a fun, engaging and creative time outside with your kiddos! Pop-up shelters are used to help keep us dry and comfortable. Much like camping in the rain, we’ll play board games, get creative with engieneering challenges, have fun with stories, yoga games, music and even mediation.
Can I pick-up early?
Yes, you can pick up your child any time. Communication with us ahead of time is the best way to coordinate.
Are bathrooms open at the park?
Yes, bathrooms are open at the park and are cleaned every day. We stop for bathroom breaks before and after our nature walks to the p-patch.
What if there is an incident with sticks, rocks or gardening tools like shovels?
Our educators are CPR/First Aid certified and always have a first aid kit on hand as well as a charged cell phone. We clearly encourage respectful and safe handling of all nature and tools. We empower and work with our groups to create their own set of respectful expectations and behaviors they all agree on at the beginning of each series of classes. This is an inclusive, informative and fun activity that grounds our group and shapes their experience.
